Shot the P3 again today...flawless..that's 1850 rounds, perfect since new.
Upon cleaning however I checked the Frankenbolt and it took almost 2 turns to tighten. No hints of failure while shooting though. ???

2 turns?...I'm surprised you didn't get a firing pin in the eye.

Now that you have tighten, make sure the firing pin will push in and come back out easily.  I use the recoil guide to push FP.

If you want to make the bolt secure, get some lock-tite (or elmers glue) and put some under the head

the amount of bow of the extractor spring will make the differance. It could be that even with 2 turns loose, the spring bow was still holding the extractor in the case groove.

I can't believe the FP stayed in. One turn on mine lets it fly.

Good thing you found it. At least it wasn't the OLD FP spring. That thing could launch a FP into ORBIT!

If you don't want to Loctite it, call KT and get a couple of the new, harder button head screws.

That way you can always tighten it after each firing and it won't strip.
