2nd outing to the range after cleaning, a little polishing and then oiling. 90 rounds Federal Champion and 80 rounds Remington = one fail to feed and one slide locked back with rounds still in the magazine. Much better than that disastrous first outing. BUT---- here it comes ---- somewhere along the line the Slide Stop Button (# 285 on the parts chart) just flat disappeared! I emptied a magazine, reloaded, and when I started to close the slide----HUH? Where is it? Gone, gone, gone. Called Kel-Tec after I got home, they are sending a replacement, suggested using some kind of adhesive (no recommendation) to try to secure it to the Slide Stop Brazement. Later, the gun shop/range called and said they had found it, so after I pick it up I'll have a back-up. Pic attached.

Now that's completely unacceptable...thanks for the heads up...I'll certainly be addressing mine and it certainly won't be "Glued-On" when I'm done...for shame Keltec and why would you cheap out on such and important function part with what is otherwise an amazing little pistol?

Apparently this problem has existed forever on the PMR. I find a thread from Country23192 from way back in 2013 about the same problem. Also a couple articles on the internet. Wouldn't you think that Kel-Tec would have enough respect for their customers (not to mention their product) to do some R&D on this thing and fix it? It may be just a small part, but I expect better quality and dependability than they are providing. As much complaining as there has been in the past about Taurus hand guns, I have found both of mine to perform (and stay together) much better than this PMR. Maybe mine was built on a Monday or Friday.

Barnstormer37 do you know when your PMR was made? I have a current one and so far I haven't had any problems (knock on wood) but it only has a few hundred rounds through it. I am wondering if it may be fixed in the current production pmr

I've owned it less than a month, got it brand new. S/B the latest and greatest, eh?

My slide stop also came off after a couple mags expended. My first PMR 30 (old model, fluted barrel) also came off, That's when I ordered a replacement and a spare. So when my current PMR 30 flew off I had a new one ready. this time I used super glue and that seems to have cured that problem. If I had a another new PMR 30 I would remove slide stop and super glue NEW one on. Once removed they are to loose and I am not sure superglue would hold. I'm sure there's plenty of PMR 30 that have the factory slide installed without problem. but my two experience's had the slide stop pop off.

Same think happened to mine. I just left it off for now. I didn't really want to glue it on.
