I've had my pak-drab for two week now. I did the fluff and buff and the trigger job. Been shooting snap caps about 500 times. I took the new gun to the range today and setup a target about 10 yards away. I shot 200 rounds of FMJ. My aim sucked; it was hard to use the sights and I did better just pointing and shooting. The gun was flawless except for the first manually slide rack. A couple of times after inserting the mag, pull and release the slide, the slide didn't slam shut. I had to press it lightly with my thumb to get it to shut properly. But other than that I had no FTF and absolutely no FTEs.

I did get to experience the trigger slap with my weak hand that some have spoken of. I enjoyed shooting it with my strong hand and began to feel confident with it. I did notice that when I held the grip more firmly with my weak hand, the trigger slap went away. Time to start strengthening my forearm (insert viagra joke here).

I'm definately going to get the CT for it since the sights just didn't work out for me. That should turn it into a fun shooter and a great "always have it on me take it to church" gun.

Welcome to KTOG! Sounds like a pretty good range report. You did all the right stuff what with the fluff n buff and doing the snap cap thing. I've not had the going into battery problem that you mention but do seem to remember others posting about that particular problem on this forum. I would use your snap caps to try to work out the problem. Really sling shot that slide and see if it doesn't, over time, remidy the problem.

    Take care...

The problem should go away with use. I recently had similar issues with a Berretta M9 a smack to the back of the slide would send it forward. After about 100 rounds it fed flawlessly. You may want to look into the Armalaser if you haven’t already. The Crimson Trace looks better but I don’t think I like the button. The Armalaser comes on when you put your finger on the trigger.
