I looked briefly for a topic regarding a "feed ramp modification" mentioned in the .380 ammo tests at this URL

    http://www.ktrange.com/articles/a10/a10-11.html

Anyone have a URL for the modification mentioned there?

    Thanks,
    Dan in ABQ

The feed ramp mod cited was to cure the smiley issue. That was more of an issue with the earlier 1st gen guns that had a longer feed ramp, although some 2nd gen guns do make them, usually to a lesser degree. To check for smilies, fire one round. Then look at the nose end of the bullet from the round that is now in the chamber. Rounds with a longer OAL are more susceptible.

I used a dremel & was lucky to find a set of small diamond dremel files at a Harbor Freight store to use also. They helped a lot. Then I used 400 & 600 emery cloth & a small wooden dowel to finish with, going up and down the feed ramp same direction as the load. Also used the small bullet shaped felt polishing rig with jewelers polish, when the felt wore down enougth I also used it inside the chamber. Worked great. :)
