Hmm, everything I've read seems to point away from lighter grain bullets.CCI HP+V
I've read great things about their Critical Defense load. Wish I could find some!Hornady CD
No issues with the lead bullet tip getting hung up during feeding?Armscor Nickel plated.
Noted. I've yet to shoot it, seriously can't wait!Personal favorites - Federal Game-Shok 50 grain , Hornady Critical Defense 45 grain and CCI TMJ 40 grain.
I've said it before, but it's worth repeating - If your PMR is RIGHT, it will shoot ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.
If you have issues with certain ammo, your gun has a problem.
Mine used to hang up with the 30 grain, like the Hornady V-Max. My friends PMR would eat it up. Sent mine back and now it eats the V-Max and loves it.
Also, people seem to like the Speers short barrel stuff. Have you had any experience with it?Personal favorites - Federal Game-Shok 50 grain , Hornady Critical Defense 45 grain and CCI TMJ 40 grain.

added: the Hornady 30 gr V-max has been flawless in my pistol.
Everything I've read seems to follow your experience with the 40gr maxi-mags. I believe that is also the load Keltec suggests to run in the PMR for best reliability. Thanks for the information! The CCI 40 gr. fmj seems to be the most reliable & accurate out of my PMR-30. That's what I stock up on the most, I think I bought a case from SGAmmo for $12/box and Palmetto State Armory recently had it for the same price.
The CCI hot stuff like HP+V & TNT are fun for making noise & fireballs as well but I mainly save that for my CMR-30.
For some reason my PMR-30 doesn't group Armscor/Colorado Buck very well, but my CMR doesn't seem to care.
I hear you, why fix what isn't broken. Lots of people seem to be having great luck with the ArmscorI bought a case of Hornady 30gr V-Max, 2 days before I got my PMR. And wouldn't you know it, it gave me nothing but trouble. Tried Colorado Buck, and not a single flaw since. Armscore is just as good. 800 rounds later, and they cycle perfectly. I use the V-Max in my rifle and revolver. Haven't tried CCI- or any others yet. I don't want to mess with a good thing. Lol
I think you might have replied in the wrong thread.I adjusted my front site to the center position, and I am impressed with my groupings. Don't know why it shipped with the site so far to the left. I will try those CCI- TNT's.I believe that my gun likes the hotter rounds. Just a hunch. How well does you Carbine shoot? It might be my next purchase!
It is a little dirty, but I need to clean the gun anyway!I hear you, why fix what isn't broken. Lots of people seem to be having great luck with the Armscor
