Extractor screw?

I have done the F&B and had good luck with that. However I do need to tighten up the extractor screw each time I shoot. Do I need to remove the screw completely and clean off the threads befor I use the locktight? Or will the locktight set O.K. without cleaning off the threads? Thanks. Tom

For best results clean the threads.

You should clean and degrease the threads before applying the loctite. It may not be necessary but it definitely won't hurt anything.

A tiny bit of loc-tite on the threads is all you need.

clean screw with isopropyl alcohol, let air dry, put a drop of blue medium-strength loc-tite on the threads, and then tighten it up.

that should do you.
