Hello,

I just received a Red Lion Precision forend (ordered on 5-14, received it 5-16). First off, hats off to Red Lion for shipping and delivering so fast. Probably helps that I live 120 miles from them, but that is neither here nor there.

Anyway, i have a Hard Chrome Subbie, and the reason I am posting is to ask everyone if using a heat gun on the barrel to remove the front sight will do any damage to the hard chrome?

Not if it's a standard consumer heatgun. I'm not sure what specific process they use for Kel-Tec's barrels but since they seem to stand up to regular firing you should be fine.

Thanks for the reassurance. I tried it today and the sight twisted Off surprisingly easily, with no damage to the chrome.
