Or is it like the RFB, adjustable. I just about ready to shed the RFB for a DPMS AR10 and a SU-16 in a trade. I'm giving the RFB one more chance to run right. I'm using identical hand loads and if I can get 20 rounds to run through it in a string it's a oddity. Got a load that is as accurate as you can get a RFB but it just doesn't want to feed. I'm losing faith in it quickly.

I think the SU16s are a bit of an over-gased piston system like AKs. I have shot mild handloads and hot military M9163 and M855 through them, and never had an issue. Its gas system is very "AKish".

If it is any consolation, I've known a couple people that got RFB crazy when they came out, but shed them later for being too ammo finicky. One for an AR10 platform and one for an HK G3 clone (PTR91).

I had CETME clone of the HK 51 with a welded pinned 8" break. I liked it but the shells aren't reloadable. I researched the RFB and it looked good on the reviews but in practicality either I got a fluke or it's just that much of a PITA. I worked up a load and it ran fairly consistent then I cleaned it and it's back to the drawing board.

I have a PTR91 (American made HK G3 clone). While I have not tried reloading any of the cases, for the most part (with PMC brass) the cases have the dirty stripes down the side, but don't appear to be deformed. I did read somewhere, however, that PTR minimizes the chamber grooves. I had a CETME years ago, and it ruined that brass. I used to limit myself to steel case Russian in it.
