No mine was a pain and went back to Keltic several times for stove piping. I tried as many things as I could but was getting about 30% or more failures. I basically gave up after a year or so. Took it out again recently, only because I like it for some reason, and she has run fine so far. Not sure how many rounds through her since the last stove pipe but I am actually considering getting a Red Lion forearm for it. It very well may have been the need for a longer than normal break in period. Can't swear the stove pipe days are over but they are far better. Would I stake my live on her, no but maybe in time.
I`m still waiting for my gen 2 order to come in . Meanwhile Ive been reading about the issues on the forum and started wondering if there were any that ran good out of the box . Thankfully , the issues seem to come from a very vocal minority of new owners .
My Gen 1 G22 model has ~1000 165 gr rounds though it without issue. I have a Gen 2, also a G22, sitting in a box awaiting a suppressor that is currently in NFA jail. I plan to run that with Winchester 180 gr Train rounds at 925 fps it should sound good.
Sub2K Gen 2 G19 FDE - Outstanding right out of the box. I did not have to adjust the sights, as they were within what I would have attempted to achieve at 50 yards. Just plain fun from the start!!
I haven't had problems with any of them. I put a couple hundred rounds of WWB through my brand new Gen2 over the weekend and it ran great. Trigger sure isn't very good though...
My 2 Gen 1s have worked fine out of the box. A little oil and off to the range. No issues! The 1st was a Glock magazine model, the second I converted to take S&W Model 59 mags and later made a bunch of cosmetic mods on.
My Gen2 Glock 17 Sub ran great first time out. Before going to the firing range, I ran 8 swabs through the barrel before they finally came out clean. The front sight was pegged far left so I centered it before going to the range and I ended up adjusting it back to where it was to get center hits on target. Have used WWB 115 grain exclusively to date.
Gen 2 9mm 2,500 rounds! No feed, jams, etc. however did have the charge handle brake around 2,000ish rounds. Called Keltec, and new one arrived less than a week later!
Mine functioned fine, however I did have to adjust the front site as it was shooting low. Now zeroed in and runs perfectly. Have about 1000 rounds through it.
Took my new Sub 2000 G2 (Beretta 9mm) to the range yesterday. Ran 100 rounds of 115gr FMJ with no problems or hiccups. Just have to get use to shooting a carbine as my accuracy at 25 yards with a little off. Next time I will try a sandbag to steady the aim to see how accurate it is. It is a keeper and a lot of fun to shoot.
