Anyone ever think about cutting down a PMR-30 to a more compact size, holding say 20 rounds. It would involve cutting down the barrel & frame, and the grip & magazine.

I like the idea of a very light 22 for backup ankle carry, but with a sufficent number of rounds. Not 10 like most compact 22's. There are aftermarket extended mags for some compact 22's, but then you are back to a full length grip.

What the muzzle blast isn't bad enough for you with a full-size PMR-30?

They invented this thing called a flash hider some years back. Pretty sure they even have them for a Keltec PMR 30.

The length isn't all that bad for ankle carrier. The issue for me is the grip length. It provides a tell that there is something under that pant leg.
