I am a relatively new pmr 30 owner. I have to say this is one sweet gun. I have lusted after one for years and finally came across one at regular retail price from the local Sports Academy. couldn't get my credit card out fast enough.

I have shot Remington, Hornady, CCI and yes even winchester. All the these rounds are around 30 grain ammo traveling at 2000 fps or more. The only one that has given me any issue is the Colorado buck 40 grain, 1950 fps. Initially the Colorado buck would stove pipe and FTF. Second time around all most a complete mag and then it wouldn't completely chamber a round .

This gun is still new and I probably only have about 300 rounds at most. All I can say is I am glad to have one. I usually carry a NAA 1 5/8 22 mag as last ditch. Now I am considering rotating in the PMR into my daily carry. I just want to be sure it will be absolutely reliable.

if it works 100% with other brands, its that ammo. It might decide to work with it after a while, once well broken in, or it may never work well. Remember that all 22 mag ammo is designed for revolvers and various non semi-auto weaponry that are more forgiving.

I think it makes a good carry gun. There are a couple of pretty good JHP performers (expand pretty well) in 22M so your biggest issue is the dreaded dud, which just happen more often in rimfilre due to the primer design and quality control. Find an ammo that works for you, and enjoy your pistol.

thanks for the vote of confidence. I will continue to try the Colorado buck every so often but I think my go to round will be the CCI hp+v. I will leave the Colorado buck for my NAA mini and Taurus 941 ultra lite. Now its just getting a nice ammo stash built up. this is such a sweet gun. 19.6 ounces with a loaded mag. what's not to like!!!!
