Not that one person's experience is anything but anecdotal, but I finally got my new CMR30 out to the range last Monday on the holiday, and the only bulk .22mag I could find, and was willing to spend the price asked on was the Armscor SP 40gr. And I got two bricks of 500.

I was leery, considering the reports of others here on the forum with this ammo, but I took a chance on it, seeing as it was really the only bulk .22mag to be had online with any availability and at an even halfway reasonable price.

I'm happy to report my CMR30 topped with a Vortex Strikefire II functioned flawlessly with the Armscor. Once dialed in, I was getting about an inch, admittedly only at 25 yards, the distance I was sighting in at.

I'm sure something like the CCI 40gr would group much better, especially at 100 yards, but for bulk plinking ammo, I'm very happy. And I'm saving my handful of CCI for a rainy day.

I shot over 200 rounds of the armscor also without a problem. I guess that the shortage depends on where you live. I have a gun shop close to me that sells CCI 40 grain for 27¢ a round. Not that that's a great price compared to the good ol' days but better than most places today.

I've also had good performance out of my cmr with the armscor. I would like to hear what problems people are having with the armscor.
I think it's every bit as good as CCI or hornady...
