Hey guys, new here. Registered to get involved with the community and ask a couple q's -

Took her to the range for the first time... People started asking if this was the cool Kel Tec Shotgun... Yup! Wanna watch? Hell yeah! Now the pressure is on... First round... Click no bang :(

Tried 3 different boxes of both 2 3/4" and 3" with no luck. Little to not impact on the back of the intact shells.

Thinking its a firing pin issue. I did a quick disassemble for the first time at the range and noticed the pin seemed a little short? Here are the pics. It seems like the firing pin just isn't long enough to strike the primer.

I would say I was successful in firing the KSG 1 in every 5 shots. So frustrated, especially with admiring fans around me... Uhg!

The pin seems loose enough, I'm curious to see someone else pin if possible. I'm used too seeing rounded pins so the fact that this one is for some reason chamfered is strange but it could just be design.

I don't have any problems with my KSG.

I measured the firing pin protrusion from the bolt face and I measured 0.0485" to 0.050". The tip of the firing pin is rounded.

Make sure that the bolt lock (part #174) is fully in the up position. If the bolt lock is not in the full up position it will hold back the firing pin. This also means that you should check the mating cutout in the receiver for any debris or burrs that may stop the lock from fully locking the bolt in the receiver.

Edit: The overall length of my firing pin is 2.974".

I took another look at your pics. The tip of your firing pin appears to be flat. Mine is rounded. Could be a cause.
