I asked him about the SBR and how well it folds. He shared this photo with me. It is a Takedown Sub2K. Basically they cut the hinge to swap barrels.

Before you ask, the answer is NO... KEL-TEC does not build this SBR Sub2000 variant for public sale and we do not cover modifications under warranty. Sub2000 owners are fully responsible for proper use and ownership under federal and state laws of suppressed and short-barred firearms. This is a legally owned and operated, factory test gun. Do not try this at home.

Very cool. But don't try this unless you don't care about warranty.

Man, I really want to know the details. I see the cut in the barrel block. Details on the work done to the rest of the gun.
P.M. would work also.
Just a few more upgrades for Gen3 please!
You started the take down.
Add the old, last round bolt catch.
Make provision for left side receiver charging handle.
Raise the sights.
That's just off the top of my head. I have other ideas. Many ideas, including the elusive flip to fold red dot sight mount.

I'm interested to do barrel swaps. At least i was, until my sub collection started growing. Seems there's no need to swap barrels, just pick up another gun.

Would like to know how its working for them. When I swap barrels it's a pain in the rear to wrestle the barrel assembly out of the receiver with out totally separating the two halves. :(

If he is shooting 165gr ammo, then it must be a .40S&W. Was anything done to reduce the shock to the gun caused by the extra back pressure created by the can? I also have a gen1 s2k sbr with a can, but hardly ever shoot it due to my concern the the extra back pressure may break the gun in half.
