Skip it, they aren't a very ethical company IMO. I also had the only mechanical failure I've ever had with my P3at when shooting BB. I can't say the ammo is to blame but it was enough to convince me to stay away from the super hot "+p" stuff.

Check out the Lehigh Defense XP bullet, either loaded by them or underwood. Those are the best self defense choice in 380 on the market if you ask me. Shootingthebull410 has some great youtube videos on 380 ammo if you want to have a look.

I've shot some of their ammo in many calibers including 380 but not in the kel tec. It always went bang and ran fine. Agreed that 380+P is a misleading marketing ploy but the ammo is fine. The biggest issue with BB is that it is way overpriced. It is safe, the +P is nonsense. Its pretty much the results you get when you load to the "do not exceed" value in a book whereas other commercial ammo is reduced a bit. I think for 380, specifically, you are looking at about 50 fps above standard. Their ammo does not exceed saami standard pressure in any tests I have heard of.

That sounds like a painful round to shoot. I did not shoot BB through my P3AT and really wouldn't care to. Now if you want to fire a couple magazines to verify reliability then stick it in your pocket I'm sure you'd be fine. Just wear a good shooting glove.

P.S. It is rated at 1100fps out of a Keltec. https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=129

Should be OK but don't expect the velocities shown unless it was specifically measured from a KT's 2.7" barrel.
The unethical crooks always include tests from popular and common firearms for comparison.
For the 380, from their site:

➤ 1218 fps -- BDA-3.75 inch barrel
➤ 1200 fps -- Walther PPK-3.5 inch barrel
➤ 1123 fps -- Colt Mustang Pocket Lite-2.75 inch barrel
➤ 1100 fps -- Keltec

I've shot a lot of stuff through my P3AT but the Buffalo Bore is great. That's all that I keep it loaded with now. The recoil is a bit stout but less than my 16-ounce Taurus 605SH2 which is a titanium .357 magnum snubby. Anyway, I don't think that it will hurt the gun.

Hello I love the OLD Buffalo bore stuff with the speer gold dots. The new stuff they use whatever bullets they deem necessary and they were deceptive in advertising and the owner became mad about it when called out so I stopped using them. I did buy about 20 boxes though and have a lot of it left and it is my carry ammo.

However the advertised speeds are spot on.

Remember heat and altitude make a difference.

Here is what I actually chronoed out of my 1st gen p3at that I have had for 10 years now.

Shooting Chrony @ 10 feet
Altitude: 1800 feet
Temp: 85 Degrees

Buffalo Bore 90gr +P w/Speer Gold Dots
high - 1132
low: 1071
average 1105 fps - 244 ft lbs of energy

The FP ones feed just fine in my 3AT. recoil is snappy if you are sensitive. As previous poster, alternating with the fiocchi HP is what i do(mainly because i'm a libra). I don't think the FP's will make that big of a hole, but i do think they will make a hole in both sides.
