ok , so this weekend i had a weak moment ... and bought a sub2k from a small town gunstore ... after breakfast , i was gonna kill some time , and went in .. he had 2 green gen 2 glock 17 sub2k's ... $550! i looked them up on GB and it seemed a fair price ... so i got one ... i know see this is over retail .. but being keltec.. it does not surprise me that the price is inflated....

soooo ... so far , the gun is "NEAT!!" i like the feel of it and added my magpul AFG 1 to it the second i got home .. it feels great ...

charging it suck and i've already got bit once .. very strong spring ...

the front sight is the new model with the nut in front of it .. and the post seems not to be in the center ... we will see where it hits when i shoot it for the first time ... (have not yet as it started pooring ....)

trigger sometimes has creep , some times not ... maybe just needs break in ??? time will tell ...

not a big fan of the sights as you really have to crank your head down on the tube to get a good sight picture ... i plan on adding my burris fast fire on a qd high mount ... and just taking it on and off when i fold the gun ...

i also plan on using it suppressed but i feel less and less confident about using a 9mm can ... seems lots of people seem to complaint about light baffle strikes due to front sight design ... i may use my 45 can instead and see ....

overall , I really like the way the gun feels in the hand especially after adding the magpul afg ....

I really hope this gun shoots well and works right of the bat ..

if it doesn't ... it will go on GB.

I felt the same about the irons, they work fine but after a few range trips I found it a little uncomfortable, so I went with a TRS-25 red dot on a high rise QD mount. So far it seems to hold zero, time will tell.

I also pulled a Streamlight TLR-4 light/laser from my AK pistol and moved it to the Sub2K. It's been on the Draco for a year and held up well. Looks & fits the Sub2K better Someone had these on a black Friday sale for $90, wish I'd ordered another. If the red dot/riser doesn't work out I may just stick with this.

update Yesterday i realized one very interesting thing about the trigger ... the creep only happens if the trigger is not depressed perfectly straight back .. ... positioning straight in the middle of the first knuckle, and creep is non-existent ... something to think about

I have probably 500 - 600 rounds through my S2K, G17, 9mm, and the trigger drove me nuts. So, I tested it, it was pulling a full 8.5 to 9.5 pounds. That's just not acceptable, so I purchased the MCarbo trigger spring kit, and their aluminum trigger. I installed it following their video, and only had one minor issue when the trigger spring popped off and disappeared into my carpet It took my 20 minutes on my hands and knees to recover it. After, I tested it and it pulls a consistent 5 lbs, SO MUCH BETTER. Worth every penny, within the skill test required to install of probably 7 of ten shooters. I rate it, 4.8 out of 5.

Damn. $550 is a lot, but at least you got one! I got a new one this week for $359...

My front sight was also a little off, it was canted a degree or two to the right. That's an easy fix though. I loosened the nut and tapped the sight to the left till it was perfectly horizontal, and then tightened the nut back up. Will see if it walks over time, if it does, I will remove it, degrease the barrel and sight itself and reinstall with some loctite and then torque the nut down again...

I don't mind the trigger for what it is... One thing i noticed though is that mine seems like the trigger is 2mm too long, because as you pull it all the way in, it actually makes contact with actually moves the takedown lever a bit. I am thinking of filing it down a bit, as I wonder if the "creep" is the trigger snagging on that...

Safety

There was another thread about someone who claimed their trigger was rubbing against the safety, sounded like the safety was loose and would move enough under recoil to interfere.

Mine had a pretty good 'catch' about halfway thru it's travel, not sure if my trigger was hitting the safety but last time I shot it I didn't notice it when I kept constant pressure on the safety while firing. And it seems it happened all the time on my first trip but now it's intermittent, and happens less frequently when I pull the trigger fast vs a slow squeeze. But the safety itself doesn't feel loose or have what I would call excessive play.

Probably a good candidate for some trigger work but I'm letting the trigger break in before I swap anything. If I ever get any more free time before the holidays I may load up some snap caps and try to dry fire it for a while to wear the trigger in some more, only put about 150 to 200 rounds downrange so it's still early.

"There was another thread about someone who claimed their trigger was rubbing against the safety"

The trigger bar was rubbing against the center section of my safety. When the safety is removed from the action, you can see a center area that is smaller diameter than the rest. That section on mine measured .193. I put it in my lathe and turned it down to .1875 which is 3/16. Put it back together and there was a big difference in trigger smoothness. No more rubbing.

Hope this may help someone.
