Today I just received two and wonder how they should be installed. Do they just slip onto the bottom of the P-3AT magazine? They have small holes in them. Are these used?

This thread shows how to install a plus-one extension. The Bersa is similar, but easier:

    1. Use a ballpoint pen or similar to depress the pin in the hole on the bottom of your mag's base plate.
    2. Carefull slide the base plate forward and catch the mag spring which will want to fly out.
    3. Replace the mag base plate with the Bersa extension sliding it on backwards until the pin locks into the hole.
    4. Clean... lube... shoot... ;D

    1) Turn your mag botttom up.

    2) In the middle of the bottom you will see a hole with a bump coming up through it.

    3) With a small screwdriver or something similar push the bump down into the hole about 1/16 ".
At the same time, slide the mag bottom toward the front of the mag.
Be careful - once the bottom slips off the mag,  the spring and inside bottom piece can fly out!

    4) While holding the spring and inside bottom piece in the mag well, slide the Bersa bottom on the same way the old bottom came off.

    That's it! ;D

I have them on all my mags - makes a big difference for me. :)

OOPs sorry, TxCajun posted his as I was composing mine. :-[

YES. For Pete's sake watch the bottom piece. I had to retrieve it from across the room twice. Reminded me of the first time I tried to put my wife's diaphram in for her............ ::)

Does anyone else just use their recoil spring guide (Part # 195) to depress the button in the magazine floor plates? I find it works perfectly, saves me having to find another object. It may not be worth the disassembly hassle if you don't have your P3AT field stripped already, but I've gotten lucky on my timing so far.

You can go to the Kel Tec website and order just about all the accessories out there for the P3AT. They even have the 9 round magazine for sale.  The one you are looking for is about 15 dollars.  Here is the link...
