Just bought a cheap, traditional A2 front sight thinking it had bolt-on clamps underneath, but it does not, anyone have any ideas in how to attach this without doing anything to the barrel?

Only problem I see is grinding the stock sight down. Giving me some pause. Nice idea to get most out of irons.

OP, is that your rifle in the picture?
With the A2 slid on?
If so, I would return the A2 and get what you ordered.
I don't see any way to make the A2 work that is worth your time and effort.
There are clamp-on A2s out there.
