I typically stick with proven brands that have been established over a long period of time. I try to avoid the hype that accompanies many of the specialty brand manufacturers but this round seems different. Most of the time I see companies claiming extreme velocities and expansion capabilities with their hollow point of choice. This round seems like it was designed for calibers that typically underpenetrate. If anyone has tried it out I would be interested to hear what you thought of it. I am thinking of trying some out and doing some testing.

These rounds are designed to increase the wound channel in an otherwise FMJ bullet. There is an increase in the channel and the penetration is very close to a standard FMJ but that wound channel is not like a JHP. It is a compromise and I would think it would be a better option for those that carry hardball ammo but I personally favor a standard HP.

Always interested in new ammo. But I would have to read that people are shooting 200 rounds with no hiccups before I tried them. I have hundreds of rounds of FMJ thru my P-32 with no problems. That is why I carry them. If Lehigh can equal that, I will try them. People who try them, keep us posted. :rayof:

I bought the last 100 rounds of the +P stuff from Underwood ammo (although I noticed it's back in stock). Ran two magazines through my P-32. No problems. Will shot some more next chance I get. Probably not 200 rounds considering the cost.

The bullets remind me of square drive screw driver bits (for those woodworkers out there).

First post here, new p32. I bought this ammo and tried it out today. First, it ran perfectly for 8 shots. I did a very wonky test using denim and water jugs. I folded the denim so it was 8 layers thick and then taped it to 2 water jugs. Shot from 5 yds majority went all the way through with a couple exiting on the sides of the second jug. I realize this is not a formal ballistic test, it was intended to be. It was more a curiosity and function test. Picture shows first four shots.
