Has anyone compared the shoulder saving capability of the Kel-Tec extended butt-pad to the slip on variety's that are out there?
Wondering if they are about the same or one is better for shock absorbtion.
Thanks!

Separately each is about the same. I would give slight edge to mcarbo slip on.
Mcarbo for.some reason a bit narrower than the rest amd has minimal slip.

Extended KT pad with mcarbo slip on absolutely perfect

I cannot directly compare, I added the Kel Tec extended buttpad and it made a noticeable difference. They are kinda sticky brand new, but that calms down after a few days of use. Pricey, but look good installed. Plus I was always concerned that if I scuffed a tenth of an inch off the factory pad somewhere that the ATF might jump out from behind a rock and bust me for having a shotgun less than 26" long. I like that the extended pad adds a solid half inch or more to the length in a solidly-attached way. The ATF is acting kinda sketchy lately, and I would rather not have anything riding the razor's edge of legality until things calm down.
