I like having both. Laying it on either side the barrel doesn't contact the lip on the table at most ranges. Yes I am a minimalist but dont see much benifit removing one. Might need it someday.
It's super easy. We just did ours. Since both my girlfriend and I are right handed so figured one side could be removed to allow at least one side to lay flat.
