Looking for a Glock 19 Gen 2. See plenty of 40's and a handful of G17 9mm variants, but have had zero luck finding the 19 in stock. I only see one on Gunbroker at the moment, which I will be bidding on over the next few days. If that doesn't pan out, hoping someone here can help me get a few other options on the table. Thanks for the insight!

When I first became aware of the S2K, I put myself on the lists of several gun shops for a Glock 19 version. The lists were (probably still are) long. One shop in my area called the Kel-Tec distributor they used and he told them that "Kel-Tec doesn't make that model anymore". I spoke directly to Kel-Tec and they vehemently disagreed. The distributor in this area is (or was) an idiot.

I ended up buying the first Glock S2K that I came across. It is configured for G17 mags. The grip fits my hand, with all fingers around the grip. It is my understanding that the G19 grip on a S2K is short like a G26 with your little finger wrapping under the standard magazine floor plate. Now, with hindsight, I am glad that I purchased the G17 version. I think I would still be on those lists otherwise.

4ster, I did something similar, only opposite. I was after a Gen 2 G17/22 in 40 Glock. Not wanting to pay a premium online price, I put myself on the waiting list at my local gun store (where I get a fair price). After several months of waiting, they got a G19/23 in and my name was at the top of the list. I bought it.

The grip is shorter than I would like, but using 15 rd magazines, I get a the extra length I want to get a good, comfortable, 4 finger grip.

You did well getting the G17.

DKRanger - I will keep a lookout for a G19 9mm for you to consider. Meanwhile, check with Tombstone Tactical.
