Bought mine from CSL instructor in Dallas. Love the size and weight. Been checking out this site since I got it on 12/15, but just got first chance to get out to the range.

I'm no expert by any means. This site has been very helpful. My only other hand gun is a Baretta 92.

This little thing definitely takes some getting used to. Difficult to hold and rough on the hands after a few magazines, but like I have read - you can't beat the size.

Gunsmith recommended shooting a bit with a few drops of oil and then a little F&B afterward.

Started with 100 FMJ (as recommended) but realized they were flat nosed (WalMart). Couldn't get through a magazine without failing to extract and jamming the next round up (FTE?). Also noticed first round seldom went in without a nudge on the back of the slide.

Tried to 50 WalMart JHP. Pretty much same problem. Maybe a little better.

Finally tried the intended ammo - Silver Tips. Gave up after 12 rounds. Gun hated them.

Left it with the gunsmith to do some F&B but still won't get through a clip of Silvertips.

Hate to say it, but some of it may just be my grip. Going to try to go through the full F&B and lube on the site here. I'm sure it will help.

Love the gun, but gotta make it shoot! Nowhere near giving up on it yet.

Like the idea of porting and the look, but does it really help on this small of a gun? Would really like to make it easier for my wife to shoot. Also like the Cera-Guard at APW. Any who has done these please comment.

rcmodel, thanks for the reply. Glad to hear I'm not limp wristing. You've spared my manhood.

Also mean to mention that I did notice a new flat spot on the head of the recoil spring guide. Is this normal? Only have about 200 rounds through it so far.

The gunsmith cautioned against breaking it down too often due to the fragile spring holding the assembly pin. Is this thing that fragile?
