Going to be buying a Primary arms red dot sight (MD-ADS) but not sure whats a better mounting option. Ill be using the American Defence Quick release mount. Just not sure if i should go Absolute cowitness or 1/3 cowitness? Im leaning to Absolute but have been told it sits to low. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ( gen 2)

If you don't have a problem with the current height of the iron sights now, an absolute is the way to go. I like having my red dot sitting on top of my front sight . . . just kind of comforting.

I like lower 1/3 so I can just raise my head slightly to get the front sight out of the picture.

I like absolute, keeps the dot as low as possible. Less issues sighting close distances versus far, (although the sub2k is pretty much a short distance 'tool').
