    All parts obtained

This is my "it takes a village to build an AR" project.

I am starting a build and am looking for parts/components.

I am leaning towards a target/varmint style AR.  I want small groups at 100 yrds.  That said I am flexible and if a good deal on something cool comes along I might change my mind.

Right now all I have a stripped lower.

I am not set on any particular brand for the components and I would welcome your input w/r/t the +/- of what you offer up.

I don't have a deadline, I might knock this out with one visit to a gun show or an evening on Midway's web site  or it might take me several months to put it together.

Please let me know the condition  and  prior usage of the part/component.  I will seriously consider all items and if we can come to a fair price then we will have a deal.

I am going to spend the money anyway but if we can work out a deal I would rather spend my money with Ktog'ers so dig through your parts box and offer up the stuff you don't want anymore.

W/r/t uppers, I am interested in assembled upper receivers and barrels- I don't want to mess with assembly.
    One on the way!

W/r/t triggers I am interested in drop in triggers

    W/r/t stocks, I am open

I will post a running list of what I have purchased below.  Thanks for your consideration.

    I have:

    stripped lower
    DPMS  upper
RockRiver 2 stage National match trigger and lower parts kit
    Magpul stock on the way

Eric-  Is this interesting to you?

Details on the Hi Rider upper:

    Here it is all together:

Lower, stock, scope, and bi-pod are not on the table-  just the upper assembly with bolt carrier group.

I have maybe 300, Max 400, rounds down range, and I cleaned the barrel after every shot for the first 25 shots, then once every 5 shots for the next 75 shots.

I am thinking I want to invest in a high dollar (presumed high quality / high accuracy) AR barrel for another build I have that is stalled. I am willing to sacrifice this upper for the build.

    PM me your asking price.

    PM on the way.

BTW- I suck at negotiating. As you are a blood sucker lawyer by trade, I beg mercy.

Dang- I should have applied my anti-vampire spray before I started negotiations!

Upper will go out to ya Monday AM.

Upper is on the way-  check you PM's for tracking information.

Despite the 94 deg. heat, I decided to take it out one more time:

After shooting, a good cleaning, and careful packing, I said goodbye!  :'(

    Optics selected.

I think that does it, I think I have all the parts I need.
  12. Re: WTB AR15 parts

LOL- Not so fast there skippy.

You will eventually convince yourself to upgrade the trigger.

Then you will need a bipod, buy a cheap one, then decide to upgrade to a Harris.

Did you get the ultra nifty 500 piece adjustable MagPul Valkyrie sniper stock?

The 24" bull barrel will become a bit heavy so you will scale back to a 20" White Oak with matched bolt, and while your at it you will swap the upper. Also add the ultra light chromed Les Baer bolt carrier.

By that time you will ALMOST have enough spare parts for a complete rifle, so back to square one.

    Ain't it a grand hobby? :D

Well I guess I will continue to buy your hand-me-down parts as it appears that I am one rifle behind you. You seem to have good taste in guns so this could be a beneficial relationship ;D As you shuck old, nasty, smelly, worthless AR parts give me first dibs on them ;).

AR upper referenced above arrived yesterday from N.A.S.

As advertised, in great shape, packed very well (could have dropped it from 6 ft onto concrete and no damage would have happened).

    I am a happy camper!

    Thanks N.A.S. !

I can attest to Mitch's quality AR parts as I have had a few in my hand before. :) Sounds like Eric has been bitten by the AR bug pretty bad. ;D
