I wanted to mount a red dot for my Sub 2K and I only have a Comp M4 laying around. After I put it on my Sub 2K the whole thing looks kinda awkward.

One good thing is that the mount is sort of a quick detach with just a turn of a knob. So I can quickly detach the sight and attach it to the underside of the forend when folding the carbine.

Still looks awkward to me, but I really don't wanna shell out another $700 for an Aimpoint Micro.

Primary Arms makes a very popular Aimpoint Clone for under $200.

You could do a 45 degree offset so you don't have to remove it to fold up.

You can search the forum for and see what the others are doing. I wanted to try it out to see if I liked it so I did the following (posted in another thread)

I zeroed it in and had a lot of fun shooting paper, so we'll see how it holds zero between outings to the range.

Personally I think the best optic is a micro T-1 clone like the TRS-25 or a clone of the Burris Fastfire (PA has clones of both). I've had an M4 clone on an AR and it's good but big and heavy for a 4 lb rifle.

The Fastfire clone is lighter & smaller than the T-1 clone but has to be removed to replace the battery and there's two screws on top that have to be loosened before you can adjust, while the T-1 just has a standard windage/elevation click adjust. Also the T-1 is self contained so it seems to be more weather resistant. Most T-1 clones will also have small dots around 2 MOA while the Fastfires are set up more for pistol use with larger dots.

I like the Comp M4... my Colt LE6920 & Daewoo AR 100 wear them well, but I prefer the EOTech EXPS2-0 on my S2K.

Hrmmm...that doesn't sound very reassuring...I think I will definitely hold off on this mount until their improve their product.
