I am still a fan of Kel-Tec and the PMR-30. It was having failure to feed issues. After that shipping price, they better not just say I was using the wrong ammo or had grease on the rails.

I detailed that pistol down to the pins and only put a small amount of grease on extremely warn parts. Never had issues with picking up rounds, just issue with round hitting top of barrel and being stuck in the magazine. Worked perfectly for 900 rounds.

What do they normally replace???

I feel your pain brother, same issue here. Mine has been there 5 weeks now. Hoping to see it soon.

I've been shooting a friend of mine's PMR and his has been perfect. Eats everything I've ran in it and has not had a single issue. His slide has a notch in it that mine did not have, so I'm hoping for a new slide.

I hope yours is taken care of. I'm sure it will be.

I got a new pmr 30 last week and had issues. The slide had a rough spot, and I was having feed and eject problems. Cleaned and oiled it and ran another 100 rds and it was much better. The slide freed up alot, but still had feed and eject issues. Called Kel-tec and they said bring it over. Took the 10 minute ride to the factory and they told me to come back in 2hrs. The tech called in an hour and said the gun was ready. He found the barrel breach was to tight due to an imperfection and it was making it harder to extract the casing. They replaced the barrel, polished the ramp and chamfered the opening of the barrel. He said it tested good. Went shopping for ammo while they fixed it and got 450 rounds of ammo. Can't wait to try it out! Awesome service. I'm lucky the factory is so close to my house.

Ok, tested my pmr 30 after a trip to Kel-tec and still had ftfd issues after they replaced and polished the barrel ramp and opening. Went back and purchased a long barrel and suppressor and it was worse. I then ground and polished it to no avail. Finally cleaned It real good. Took my 3 mags apart and noticed the follower was sticking near the top. Pushed them out gently with a screw driver and inspected with a flashlight shined in the top and looked in from the bottom. Carefully cleaned the spots with 600 grit and a small screw driver, also did same to follower till all three would fall up and down with gravity only. Re assembled mags. Got looking at the chamber with the slide locked back and noticed a raised edge where the reciever ramp meets the barrel ramp. It was the edge of the block sticking up a hair. Removed block and filed the edge at a 45 degree angle just enough to match it to the ramp. The gun went through 120 rounds of gold dot 40gr jhp with no issues. Tried a mag of cci 40gr jhp and had the same ftfd issues. Think it's the extra Ridge around the bullet. Did not try the short barrel yet...was having to much fun launching cans in the air! I'll get back when I try it out. Gonna try some hornady 30gr also.

Hope they get it sorted out. I'm going to shoot the last 150 rds of cci 40gr jhp tomorrow and see if my stock barrel works as good as my long one. Got more gold dot and hornady to try also. My long barrel did awesome with those.

Mine took 8 weeks. You'll be happy when you get it back. I know I am!

I am getting impatient. I was not when I first sent it. Now, I want it back and better than it was stock!!!

Should I shoot the CCI maxi-mag, or buy bullets without the lip, like Hornady? I am hoping they have an answer for me when it returns.

Mine shoots everything now. I had acquired quite an assortment of ammo when i was struggling with mine (prior to the repairs).

CCI 30g, CCI 40G, Colorado Buck 40G, Hornady V-Max 30G, Winchester 40G and Federal 50G, A22 35G and Fiocchi 40G.

Shoots em all now!

When I first shot mine, it would only shoot Hornady 30 gr VMax. After 300 rounds it eats anything. It's a very nice pistol but it gets weird at times.
