What improvements have most of you made to your P11?
I'm thinking of the Following,
Adding a Trigger Stop (the bumper that minimizes trigger travel)
Putting some Grip Tape on the Grips or the Hogue Hand All
Installing a Lazy umm I mean Laser Pointer instead of night sites
What else would you do?

1. Fluff n' Buff
2. Magazine baseplate extension (actually, the previous owner did this part)
3. Good ammo (Speer Gold Dot 115gr standard pressure)
4. Hogue Handall Jr.
5. Stripped off crappy factory bluing, polished, and waxed

That's about it.

1. Pachmayr slip on grip with finger grooves.
2. Smith & Wesson 59XX 15 round mags with adaptors.
3. Quality self-defense rounds that feed flawlessly.
4. Another P11.
5. Practice.
6. Practice.
7. More practice.

In other words, since mags aren't actually part of the pistol and simply allow me more rounds (and Kel Tec wisely designed the P11 to take the S&W 15 round mag), mine are bone stock except for the grips, and I wouldn't miss the grips if they were gone.

Get to know your weapon very, very well before you start futzing around with it. You just might find that you like it exactly as it is.

Northwood trigger
Generic slip-on
Pinky extension

The only other change I would like to make is some quality sights to replace the cheesy plastic-army-men ones. These really give the pistol a cheap ghetto look and I wish somebody offered some decent metal or polymer replacements.

Don't they still have some metal sights available for the P11 on Amazon? Or was that just for the front sight?

Except for the long discontinued KT nightsights, I've never seen any aftermarket, plug and play sights, metal or otherwise, for the P11.

Can someone point me in the direction of an extension for the P11 clip to accommodate my little finger?
Also how do I install it without butchering the magazine?

Thanks.

I nixed the Idea of a laser sight and am in the process of drilling and creating my own set of night sights as its cheaper than having a smith dovetail the front of the slide for other models. buy the replacement sights at KelTacs website and drill them off of the gun before you install them. thread link here http://www.thektog.org/forum/showthread.php?t=245467
I have also added the Hogue Handall Jr. and the grip extensions for the 10 rd Mags.
When I have the cash again I will add the Northwood Trigger.

mine has the belt clip, arma-laser, and grip extensions on both magazines (each 10 rounds.)

i had the trigger shoe on it for a while, but it started working itself loose too easily. i'm going to get the aluminum trigger for it, and let that be it, i think. it doesn't need a whole lot, really.

Great thread. I just bought a new P11 and will also do this to it.

1. Sand down all rough edges on the frame and hand grip.
2. Front and rear trigger stops to take up the slack in trigger movement.
3. Sand down the mag release so it doesn't get inadvertently pushed while holstered. (This was a frequent occurrence in my old P11)
4. Make a hand grip out of the ribbed section of 2 1/2 inch bicycle tube. Scuff with sandpaper until it has a molded look.
