H&Ks are just outstanding pistols. I rank them in quality as equal or superior to Sig Sauer. I don't presently have one, but I'm always looking for the "deal".

I also think they are outstanding guns, Thanks to Haertig and my search for wife's new pistol came across and fired hkp30 WHAT a beautiful trigger, looked and fondled the p30sk did not know if they made finger extension for mag but pistol held really well did not get to fire the sk priced out the p30 and went into sticker shock until I priced out sig 225/229 then settled down and kept looking. I was concerned about not having an extension as well. But I found it fits the hand so well, the pinkie just tucks underneath on its own and you really don't notice unless you are thinking about it. The P30 regular magazines fit it, so I picked up a couple of those for the range. They work well for your pinkie to rest on. I have seen some 3D printed extensions for the P30sk, so likely not too far from having better quality ones available.

The H&Ks are pricey, but damn it is a fine weapon to carry and shoot. It is my everyday carry now.

You can buy HK's fairly cheap (relatively speaking) at CDNN. The P30 routinely goes for $799 there (that's $200 less than I paid locally!) The P30SK goes for $599. So really, the SK is priced right there with Glocks and M&P's. Another one to look at it is HK's VP9. That's a striker fired gun that is right there alongside the hammer-fired P30 in quality. Another very nice striker fired gun is the Walther PPQ. You owe it to yourself to not overlook these HK's and Walthers as you're mulling over the more commonly seen (but still very good) Glocks and M&Ps.

[edit] I just looked at CDNN for their current prices - the P30SK 9mm is now $579, the full-size P30 9mm is still $799 though. VP9 9mm is $579. Walther PPQ 9mm is $539. Geez, I may have to go buy another one or two at these prices! [/edit]

I should mention, for the price you get a lot with your firearm. Mine came with 3 magazine as well as 6 different inserts for the grip to get it just perfect. 2 for either side and 2 for the back. Also a lock and nice case.
