There is a replacement magazine base plate that claim to help with this. Might even be available on kel Tec website.... Yes they have them. Made by tandem cross $25
I stuff an AR Accu-Wedge into the space between the magazine and the release when I walk around the woods. It doesn't allow for quick mag change, but it keeps the mag in place.Yeah seen that but don't really want to extend the length of the gun
Credit where credit is due, that Accu-Wedge idea works! It stays tight.I stuff an AR Accu-Wedge into the space between the magazine and the release when I walk around the woods. It doesn't allow for quick mag change, but it keeps the mag in place.
The only trouble is I keep misplacing the Accu-Wedges. I am trying a TandemKross base plate now. I trimmed off the excess as mentioned above by tiehshau and it is now nearly as trim as the Kel-Tec OE plate. So far, I'd say the TK plate works as advertised. It is now much more difficult to activate the mag release with the base of the palm, which is a problem with the release for many.Credit where credit is due, that Accu-Wedge idea works! I use it always)Oh, someone is using a thick and wide rubber band (think produce bands) to cover the button, with good results.
hmmmm dremmel makes quick work. good idea!I purchased the Tandemkross base plate and didn't like the loop on the bottom. A few minutes with the trusty dremel and the problem was solved. I now have the bottom plate extending over the mag release without the bulky loop. A lot of people in the review of the cmr/pmr base plate say that TK should offer the option of a regular base plate with the extention over the mag release without the bulky loop.
