I got my new KSG a couple weeks ago to use as a host for the Salvo I am waiting on. If I understand correctly I need to add a choke adapter for the Salvo then buy the win choke salvo adapter. It appears that the Kel Tec choke adapter is a 4 slot but my barrel nut has a 6 slot barrel nut. Does Kel Tec have a 6 slot choke adapter, or am I stuck buying both barrel nut sockets so I can install the new parts? Is there another option that doesn't require another barrel nut wrench?

Thanks

I just had an opportunity to shoot with a Salvo on my KSG this past week. I used the adapter SilencerCo makes that threads directly on to the KSG barrel threads after you remove the factory nut. It's still on my gun (picture below). That may be an option you want to consider.

Awesome, that answers my question on how the Salvo connects. The silencerco site wasn't very clear, I was under the impression I needed a choke adapter and then the appropriate Salco adapter. Is there a choke function on that adapter, or just enough adapter to screw on the Salvo? I assume that works with the gearheadwords blast piece.

At one time I too thought you needed a choke attachment and then a SilencerCo Salvo adapter that threads into that, but I found out later that you don't have to go that route. The Salvo adapter I was provided is the one specifically made for the KSG as shown in my photo and that's all you need. It looks like you could use the choke adapter for KSG from SMT Tactical (http://www.smt-tactical.com/ksg-choke-adapter) which uses Rem Chokes and then get the SilencerCo Remington KSG Choke adapter. That would allow to use the Salvo on other shotguns you may have that take Rem Chokes. KelTec also has a choke adapter, but it uses Win Chokes and I don't think SilencerCo makes a KSG adapter for Win Chokes.

As for choke function of the adapter I have, yes it is itself an Improved Cylinder choke.

Following up on this question from Bronco . . . The answer is No if you are using the KSG adapter that threads directly to the barrel (shown in a post above and first pic below). I had bought a Gearhead Works Beast months ago but had not put it on yet. Finally got time to do it over the last couple of days.

This is the SilencerCo KSG direct adapter.

This pic shows the Gearhead Works Beast installed with the adapter shown above installed (sorry gun is upside down). You can see that the direct adapter is too short to allow installation of the Salvo onto the adapter. The Beast is maybe 1/2" or so too long.

This pic shows a SilencerCo Remchoke adapter next to the Beast. If you get a thread on choke adapter from Hi-Tech or SMT Tactical that takes Rem Chokes you can use the shown Remchoke KSG adapter with the Beast.

You can also run a couple of sico's different choke options by using the ksg choke adapter as well. The choke adapter will also fit under the beast.
True GH . . . I have the KelTech choke adapter and I knew it took Winchokes as I have some of those from another gun. SilencerCo doesn't show a Winchoke Salvo adapter on their site, but they do have a Mossberg 500 style adapter. With a little research I figured out that the Mossberg 500 style choke is a cross reference to the Winchoke so it should work fine in the KelTech adapter. I haven't got one yet to verify, but likely will at some point so I can use the Beast with the Salvo.
