Praise the gods!! I was in the Bullhead City, Az. Wal-mart today and they had Rem. JHP 100 pack boxes [2] and also about 10 550 Rem. bulk .22. They hadn't had any of this for months. The guy told me they expect more .380, 9mm and .45 next week. The shelves were still mostly bare but maybe this signals the end of the shortage. :)

I paid $32.97 for the same thing last month, so I can only assume the OP paid a similar price.

Good deal. Heck $70 a box at cheaper than dirt is starting to sound good. I can't wait till this all blows over. :(

I am glad to know I am not the only one doing this in Greenville. I did find some 9MM last week and bought 500 rds.

My local WalMart had .40 and .45 this past weekend, so even though I'm in pretty good shape on both, I bought 1000 rounds of .40 just because it has been in such short supply. I didn't get it all, though - they still had 4000 rounds of .40 when I left them ;-)

I had a feeling that my local WM was going to receive pistol ammo tonight. My gut was telling me that there was probably some .380 on the shelves as well. It turns out my gut was right. ;)

Just to find out I changed my route home from work this afternoon to check out the ammo stock at WalMarts in Derby, CT. In handgun ammo a few boxes of CCI .22, and 5-6 boxes of .25 was all that was on the shelf. No .380acp, 9mm, .40S&W or .45acp.

    Take care...

Never thought I'd see myself saying "ooh yea" at a stack of ammo before, but I find me doing it. ;D

I went looking for .380 WWB (or UMC) today and found out a couple of interesting things: 1) My local Wal-Mart (I-35 and 75th St in Overland Park, KS) said they should be getting 27 boxes of UMC in tomorrow. The guy said it would last about 1 day. So anyone nearby might want to check on that. (Not me, see below.) 2) I ventured on to Cabelas in KC, KS. The guy there told me they got 300 boxes on Thursday but that nearly all of it was gobbled up by pre-orders. The remaining 7 boxes went on the shelves, and today (Saturday) they were gone. So....I went ahead and pre-ordered some. He said they'd be in in a couple of weeks. Hope so. This .380 shortage is almost enough to nudge me to a PF-9; I'e seen 9mm around.  Tommy.

Hello Bullhead. I used to live there. I'm in Vegas now.
I just bought 10 boxes of Remington .380 UMC FMJ of the Cabelas web site this morning. First time its been there this year. Jackpot.
Oh, edited to add: I bought a 100 round of Remington jhp .380 at the Henderson Nevada Wal-Mart on Thursday. I've got all the JHP I can use so I fixed up a freind. He was quite pleased. With tax, $35.53/100

I picked up 100 rounds of the same at the same time. It was gone in a day and is now back-ordered for 4 weeks again. I'm thinking this may become the best round for our little .380s too.
