My Son got his first elk using my RFB, one shot at 90 yds. took out both lungs she ran 35 yards and piled up. The 180 gr. Federal Vital Shock did the trick.

My Son said that RFB stands for "Rifle For Burgermaking"   ;D

good sized cow about 425-450 #

My daughter came up for the weekend too hunt , looks like right now She is pulling night guard duty?? :D    keep out zombies, bears, or any fool that would mess with a redhead packing an RFB  ;)

Fiending for an RFB! I love the .308 round. And having that round in such a compact package.....it's like heaven. Just out of curiousity, is there any special restriction for using the RFB in a hunting capacity? A 20 rd. mag seems too much.

The feds restrict shotguns to 3 shell capacity when hunting migratory game birds. Other than that, allowable capacity for hunting weapons is controlled by your particular state laws. Check them.

Thanks for the comments, in Washington state there are no ammo restrictions but as a practical matter my Son and I had loaded the mag w / 6-8 rounds because of weight, we cover a lot of territory looking for elk.
