I recently did a front sight upgrade, and.... my first trip to the range lost the original screw and nut.

This is a 1st gen Sub 2000 in Glock 9.

Is this available from KT, or should I just try replacing it with a nut and screw from the hardware store.

Note to self.... be sure to use some blue Loctite!

Thanks.

I believe it's a 4-40 screw and it should be a self locking nylon insert nut. But you can just as easily leave it out. Just make sure your adjusters are snug against each other. Not torqued, just nice and snug.

The original hardware is 5-40 threads. The nut is a small pattern nut. You will not likely find this hardware in your local home improvement store. 4-40 hardware is more common than 5-40 and should work as long as the hex on the nut is 1/4".
I do not agree that using just the adjustment screws to hold the front sight in place is a good idea.
