I kept bouncing back and forth the past year about getting a KSG and even bought a Shockwave, but I could not hold out any longer and ordered a black KSG.
I have read a ton about them on this forum and am going to be upgrades in stages for a nice project gun after I get to run some rounds through it.
First things to do. And most important thing to do.
Remove the screw for the selector switch and apply lite locktight to the threads and re-tighten.
If its a gun shop demo. Its not like your virgin prom date. Its the bar fly with 5 kids. And is looser then the USA debit limit.
This is likely 90% of all the cry baby problems that you will see on youtube or on the internet.
When you first get it. Unless you are mechanically adept. Dont just tear it all down. There are a few tricky complex spots.
Remeber. Full strokes. Strong strokes. The KSG has a bunch of little quarks. As the mechanics for the hull ejector is a 100% different then the old 890 type guns.
I picked it up today, put the Decelerator on, my TSR-25 I had laying around and picked up my sticky foam sheeting and picked up a couple of boxes on Minishells.
Welcome to the fun. Remember you need to bring it all the way back. I finally opted for vertical foregrip makes racking round much easier and more reliable.
This shotgun super easy Too Short stroke this will cause double feeds and other headaches.
Not a bad idea to include a nice chamber polishing as part of the fluff & buff.
Rough chamber - due to deposits from Parkerizing - is another common complaint which is fairly easy to remedy. No need for expensive tools either, other than an 1/2 inch electric drill, half inch wood dowel and some fine sandpaper.
I have taken it out on one outing so far. I had no problems when I racked it forcefully. No jams or feeding issues. Love it so far and going to try some #4 buck soon.

My first post here
I also have a brand new KSG 12. Figured I better join and see what others think before I go nuts with boxes of shells and accessories.
Lots of great tips!
Thanks ADAM
So many things today have had all of the fun sucked out of them, the KSG has not.
Even riding a bicycle. It used to be fun:
Today you need to have it registered, some places require a tag, pay taxes on it, helmet, and reflective stripes on your clothes, the list goes on and on.
You end up being like these guys:
I recommend KSG-blasting empty plastic jugs with cheap ammo.
Good old-fashioned fun!
The small was the size I ordered and it fits well.
