Okay, so I bought my 1st sub2k in 9 and I am wondering if anyone can tell me:

Is the only difference that the receiver is all metal?
What is the weight difference?
Does the sub9 take glock mags?
What variations of the sub9 were made?

I read there were 3500 made fron 95-99, any other info would be great

I have a Sub9.

The receiver is two pieces of aluminum machining held together with hex head machine screws. The breech block is aluminum, as is the grips, and the hinged trigger guard/latch. The sights, front and rear, are also metal. The front sight post is metal, not a clear hi-viz fiber optic like on the 2000.

The Sub9 also has a last shot bolt hold open. There is no safety/storage notch for the charging handle like on a Sub2000.

The safety is a rotating lever, like on an AR15, not the crossbolt button like on the 2000.

I believe the Sub9 came with magazine variants of Glock, S&W 5900/P11 (the model I have), Baretta 92, and Sig Sauer. Although I'm not certain on that.

I also thought the Sub9 was about a pound heavier.

The fore-end furniture and stock assembly on the rear are just about identical, except the Sub2000 now has that security lock on the rear that prevents unfolding if it's engaged.

Does kel tec offer sub 9 replacement parts? And are some or all of the sub2k parts interchangable?
The only thing interchangebale between the 2 as far as I know is the butt plate.  Kel-tec is holding all of their remaining stock of Sub 9 parts strictly for warranty repair.  None for sale.

I just ran across a sub-9 in 40 cal that takes glock mags. I didn't know such a thing existed. Anyone know the market value for these? Condition was good - I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

Edit: The 2 piece bolt does look identical to a sub-2000, but I didn't compare them side-by-side. The mag release is a bit different.

The market value is entirely up to the buyer and what he wants. They are the Cadillac of the Kel-tec Sub rifles, being all metal in construction. But spare parts for them are beginning to get in short supply at Kel-tec. I've seen them go for anywhere between $300-$800. I own a Glock 22 version and it will be one of the last guns from my collection I part with if I ever decide to start selling any off.

The magazine release on the Glock version of the Sub-9 is not as good as the S&W version or the S2K.
I agree with 3WB on price range.
I just bought a as new Sub-9.
I told myself that I would never pass on a nice Sub-9 if I could get a reasonable price. And I compare a used Sub-9 to a new S2K.
Depends on what you want. A warranty? Or a classic?
I chased this last Sub-9 for many months. Mainly because it was advertised as Beretta magazine. It had a reserve over $550, a buy it now price of $850. I bid and bid on it, but refused to go over my set limit. Loosing to reserve not met or being out bid. I had quit checking on it for weeks at a time. And bid when I saw it relisted every week or so. Finally I saw reserve met/lowered in my range.
And won with the highest bid. Came with no box, and aftermarket hi cap mag. I'm happy.
Oh, and it was a S&W magazine
