Default Tech-Sights on a Marlin 60?

Anyone using Tech-Sights?

Thinking about possibly picking up a set for my 60. Seen here
Reading a few reviews & saw that they are set higher than the factory irons & that people like that better.

Pulled out the 60 last night & noticed that the factory irons are a bit low.

Thoughts on Tech-Sights?

Tech-Sights? A big yes!
On a 60? Not sure, mine are on a 10/22.
If you like aperture sights, I don't see why you wouldn't love them.

I don't have an opinion one way or the other regarding Tech-Sights on your Marlin. However, I put a set on one of my SKS's and love them. Longer sight radius and a nice aperture sight. They surely improved my accuracy.

After all, two or more shots in the same hole wounds the bad guy only once. - Checker4Tix

Really great sights, love them. Spend the money, you'll be happy.

Pretty much any aperture sight will improve on any (other type of) open sight.

On my Marlin 795 (same sights as your 60), I put a TechSights front on, and a Williams WGRS-54 rear on. This was because at the time there were no TechSights for the Marlin. I used a TechSights front for a different rifle, per the recommendation from TechSights customer service. And I used the Williams rear because that is what was available at the time. Plus, my half-n-half setup cost less than a full setup of TechSights (which weren't available anyway, so it was a moot point). I had to file down my TechSights front a little to make it work with the lower Williams in the rear. But that took me all of 30 seconds to complete.

Aperture sights are SO much better than regular open sights. So my recommendation is to get aperture sights. TechSights are one example of aperture sights (and a good example, by the way).

I've got a set on my Model 795 and will put a set on one of my Model 60's. If you like your Marlin rimfires, I suggest you look into marlinowners.com and rimfirecentral.com. Both sites are full of great ideas on mods and sources for parts.

I have a 10/22, but enjoy my Marlins more.

Be safe.

My model 60 is a tack driver with the factory sights. Yes they look cheap but I have drilled more prarie dogs with that gun then any other.
