Default Magazine Loader for PMR-30

Do any of you know if the Butler Creek Baby UpLula™ Magazine Loader will work with the PMR-30 magazine? Cabela says it will, but thought I would ask you folks.

Our member "KTGuy" put together his own "craft made" loader. He posted a picture of it, but not a review.

"KTGuy", time to get off your A$$ and tell us how that loader works!

Dan-O,
Can I take that as a Yes? I had seen some comments or statements in their ad saying it was for a single stack magazine. Just wanted to make sure it would work with that PMR-30 double stack. Those last five or ten rounds for old hands are tough.

It works great. Looks a little "home made" but who cares. I've got the nylon 66 to make a new one but have to find the right weld-on #3 to put it together. I have the UpLula and the baby UpLula - they are wonderful equipment - The baby might work with the PMR if you are willing to modify it.

What has to be modified on the Baby UpLula? Dan-O seemed to think it works fine. Does it work or doesn't it?

My baby UpLula doesn't work loading MY PMR mags, but I've learned to respect Grand Poobah knowledge.

So is there no other solution? KTGuy needs to start production of his solution soonest, or tell us how to make it ourselves.

Hey GTMomma, here's what I've got for you.
1st: http://www.magloader.com/product.html
These actually work and will work for any double stack or single stack mag in any caliber.

2nd: To make you own mag loader for the PMR, take a galvanized Strongtie fence bracket, straighten one side out flat, put in a vise and bend it back to fit around the outside of a PMR-30 magazine. On the top cap, install a wide plastic nut (from a toilet nut/bolt kit) with a short screw inserted into the top through an appropriate size hole. Trim to size you prefer. Not purdy, but works pretty well. Took about a 1/2 hour of thinking and doing for me. Good luck!

P.S. you could buy one of the magloaders in the 1st thought and modify it to become the rounded feed portion of the home-made fence clip mag loader...
