Replaced both recoil rods with new nylon ones. The old one out of my chrome P-32 had developed some ridges after 14 years and less than 400 rounds through it.

This afternoon, I shot 100 Geco FMJ's thru the green P-32 & 60 Geco FMJ's thru the chrome P-32. No issues with the chrome one, however the green one had 1 failure to chamber and 8 failures to fire (primers were slightly dimpled & fired on the 2nd attempt). I also noticed the chrome P-32's trigger has a much longer pull, almost to the frame with a 1/16 space left. The green P-32's trigger broke with a 5/32 space left.

Since both P-32's have new guide rods, recoil & firing pin springs, I may need to replace the green ones firing pin. Wonder how to shorten the longer trigger pull of the chrome one?

On the chrome one, check to see if the trigger pin is fully seated. If not, it lengthens the pull, sometimes to the point where it bottoms out and won't even fire.

Looks like this may be the problem. The pin on the chrome P-32 is hanging down, while the green one is almost hidden by the trigger. I couldn't get it any further in, so it looks like I'm going to be detail stripping the chrome frame tomorrow.

Thanks for the information TxCajun.
