I got in the device. It is pretty crude, and will need some "fitting" to slide freely.
It won't be legal because the shooter's finger is not what depresses the trigger. The slide-fire systems effectively "lift" the shooter's finger off of the trigger.
Each round is fired by the person's finger depressing the trigger.
That's how they skirt the law; it's in the law's definition of a semi-auto.

If you look close at the video, his trigger finger is on the second part of the device. It's not even inside the trigger guard.
The device is what is depressing the trigger.
