Not unless you moved the front sight out to the end of the longer barrel to increase the sight radius.
Or put a scope on it so open sight radius doesn't play into it.

Even then, there is no reason a long barrel would be more accurate then a short barrel.
In fact, the opposite might very well be the case.
A shorter barrel is stiffer, and barrel harmonics / vibration are less.

Since the sight radius is the same length on that gun and a standard Sub 9, I wouldn't think so. Mechanical accuracy of a weapon with a rifled barrel should not change with barrel length, all other things being equal. Accuracy potential would be greater with most shooters if the front sight was extended to the end of the longer barrel, increasing the sight radius.

Wouldn't dream of it, but this "front sight is junk conspirator" thinks Sub 9 owners got a better weapon, or at least a better front sight.

Yes we did. A better overall weapon. For twice the price.....

sure would be nice to have the extra barrel length to chop and thread for your favorite muzzle device.

Here some data on speed vs barrel length:

Notice how speed increases start to level out with longer barrels.

Thought you may find this data interesting.

I did notice that I seem to group tighter with the 18 inch barrel vs one of the 16 inchers at 20 yards.

Could be the .03 rear aperture tho.

I really need to get out & do some testing with & without the Brake & compare to one of the stock S9s.

I did find that the Brake does reduce recoil. About the difference between 115 & 124 grain rounds. The clamp on HighPoint Brake has to be tightened pretty often & seems to move back under recoil.

Wonder how many of these are still StateSide.

Thats probably the Canadian version as stated before, our barrels are 18.5 inches so that its comes in as unrestricted firearm, less would mean a restricted firearm, which means you can only shoot it at a club and you will also need a permit to transport it.

Got to love Canadian Gun Laws.

Probably true..

But it could be other reasons:
-heavier up front, so less muzzle jump from shot to shot.
-if 18" slowed down the bullet a bit to become subsonic then it get more accurate. Do it again in a colder day, when it take less speed to break cound barrier than a hot day. Use same batch of bullets both days. Then compare. Or try both with subsonic bullets.
