Default Kel Tec sub 2000 spare magazine holder

Anyone know where I can buy a sub 2000 spare magazine holder? They're always sold out on the Kel Tec website. Thanks

Try calling them, they're not very good at keeping the webstore up to date. They may have them in stock.

Default spare magazine holders for the sub 2000

You know how you can never find the Kel-Tec spare mag holder that goes on the buttstock of the gun ?

Well I found that if you buy 2-Blackhawk 430900BK Black Pistol Tactical Magazine Pouch With Molded Flaps , that you can mount them on the side of the foregrip by just drilling 2 small holes.

First you remove the foregrip like you were installing the picatinny rail , then on the side closest too the breech you find the waffle pattern square that is on the bottom row the second square back from the breech and drill a 7/32nds hole in the dead center , put the upper screw from the pouch in that hole and line up the lower hole to match (its about the 5th square back) and screw it down.

Adding 1 mag pouch will increase the width of your gun too 3 1/2 inches and 2 mag pouchs will make it 5 1/4 , make sure your gun case can fit it .

That is pretty much what I am looking to do too. Though I would have only one mag holder so my gun can fit in tge case I have for it.

Could you tell me how wide the gun is with only one mag holder installed please?

And I wish you would have pics of your install process. That would be more clear than trying to read your description of it.

Good job!

Cheers and happy new year!

Edit - never mind the width question. I just read it off your post. One mag holder would be perfect for me. But I have the Gen 2 S2K so my install might differ from your.

That one one has been around for a while. Hard to find, and only for the Gen 1 S2K.

I have the factory butt stock mounted magazine holder. It works fine. But can't be used with my Twisted Industries extended charging handle.
This holder looks like it would work with it.
