Default Gen 1 Sub 2000 with Gen 2 front sight?

I am new to this gun. Mine has a Gen 1 forend but there is an orange postcard in the box that says it has a Gen 2 front sight. So, I ain't sure if there is a difference in the grip or not! If the Pachmayer S&W Sigma doesn't fit then I'll have to buy a pistol that it DOES fit. You know how that goes!!

You're Gen 2 front sight is actually a 2nd iteration that was adapted from one for the SU-16 rifles. You still don't have the actual Gen 2 Sub2K front sight. It has a sight post from an AR in it.

That's cool. Whatever it is, it works! I have a range in my backyard and I was hitting my 100 yard 10 inch metal target in standing position with it right out of the box. Only reason I mentioned it was that it cautions that the adjustment procedure is different I guess.

Does the front sight adjust up and down by rotating it with a FMJ bullet tip or other pointed tool?

Yeah, I thought so too. I just wondered if it was possible that they might have produced some 1st Gen with the AR style sight during the changeover.

The original sight had coin slotted adjusting screws on each side with no set screw in the center. I still feel the set screw isn't really necessary. There is enough friction between the plastic parts to hold the setting.
